Cage Warriors Return To Sheffield With A Huge 8 Man Tournament and Middleweight World Title Fight at CW Showdown 2.
Details of the 2nd Cage Warriors Showdown event have been released, which contains an international 8 man Lightweight Tournament and a huge Middleweight World Title Bout on November 19th in Sheffield, England.
Warrior Promotions are proud to officially announce the provisional line-up for its November 19th "CW Showdown 2" event at the Octagon Centre, Sheffield. This Mixed Martial Arts show follows on from the last action packed Showdown event which saw UK star Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy defeat the veteran Danny Rushton via TKO in Welterweight competition, Alexandre "Xandinho" Izidro win his CWFC Lightweight World Title outright and saw the successful return of Ian "M-16" Butlin.
However the 2nd CW Showdown event aims to top the previous show with an international 8 man number 1 contender Lightweight tournament, which will see fighters from the UK, France, USA, Japan and Scandinavia battle it out to claim a CWFC Lightweight Title shot next year against regaining champion Alexandre "Xandinho" Izidro. Fighters participating in the tournament include the likes of Ian "M16" Butlin, Peter Irving, Emmanuel Geay, Tomonari Kanomata, Jarkko Latomaki, Thomas Hytten and more.
But that's not all as Warrior Promotions have secured a huge CWFC Middleweight World Title bout between number 1 contender and Pride Bushido 11 veteran Gregory Bouchelaghem (5-3-0) and the 2 Hot 2 Handle -93kg Road to Japan winner Jordan Radev (11-1-0). This bout will be an intriguing striker vs. grappler clash as the powerful Dutch based Bulgarian will look to stop the slick submission skills of Bouchelaghem, who holds wins over UFC and Pride veterans Mark Weir and Andrei Semenov and also UFC veteran Ross "The Gladiator" Pointon.
Both men will be fighting for the CWFC Middleweight Title which was recently vacated by the Danish striker Martin "Hitman" Kampmann who recently fought in both the WFA and UFC and vacated the Title to concentrate on his UFC career.
Local talent will also be given a chance to shine as Yorkshire based kickboxers Alex Mackenzie and Scott Sykes from SDF Sheffield will be fighting in Cage Kickboxing action along with Cage Warriors Strike Force 5 and 6 veteran Brett Healy. Also Taylor Total Fighting's Andy Denny and Richard Taylor from Wakefield will be in MMA action, alongside other local talent.
Tickets for this exciting event cost £25 (£30 on the door) with VIP tables available at £400 pounds. (Seats 7 and includes buffet, wine and waitress service.) Tickets are available from www.clubtickets.co.uk on +44 (0) 870 246 2050 at MMA Universe, cagewarriors.com and other outlets.
